October 16-18: Mondial de la Biere – Strasbourg
Location: Parc des Exhibitions, Strasbourg, France

Highlights: Inaugural Mondial in “the capital of Europe”; beer, primarily from artisanal breweries, with an emphasis on those of the Alsace region; educational presentations by beer experts; professionally-judged and “people’s choice” beer competitions; beer-themed exhibitions and presentations.
October 17and 24: Belgian Beer Festival
Location: Diksmuide (near Ostend), Belgium

Highlights: Fiftieth annual event; Oktoberfest atmosphere, with music (the Oberbayern Humpapa Band) and dancing; a variety of Belgian beers; snack food; T-shirts and other souvenirs.
October 17-18: Stoudts Microfest
Location: Brewery Hall, Stoudts Brewery, Adamstown, PA
Highlights: Evening tasting session on Friday and two tasting sessions on Saturday, with microbrewed beers from around the country, German-style buffet, entertainment, and complimentary shuttle service from local motels.
October 24: Northern Virginia Brewfest
Location: Bull Run Special Events Center (inside Bull Run Regional Park), Centreville, VA
Highlights: “A World Beer Experience,” with beer from more than 40 breweries from around the world; food; music by local and regional bands; festival will be held rain or shine.
