For some reason our twitter account @hereforthebeer was suspended last Wednesday. We have been good tweeters and as those of you who were following us know, we are not spammy nor have we ever sent inappropriate links your way.
Unfortunately after following the procedures for finding out why our account was suspended, we were only sent a list of reasons (from a bot) that is completely generic.
So we are asking for your help. Please tweet to @twitter that we are good people and not disturbing the tweetosphere. We submitted a “trouble ticket” but have seen online that it can take up to 90 days to hear back from that – ouch.
It’s amazing, considering how much spam we get every day on twitter, that we would get suspended.
I am sure it is an automated process, but how long does it take to get a human involved to help us?

I’ve been getting a lot of spam from people I know – I’m thinking there is a decent amount of accounts getting hacked somehow and spam getting sent out.
We were suspended, but it seems we have been restored. I received an email from Twitter saying that they suspended a lot of accounts mistakenly last week. You don’t realize how connected you are to a service until it’s gone for 5 days!

That blows that is was suspended. The only reason they gave you was oops? I can’t imagine losing twitter for 5 days. It’s almost like getting a cut on your finger. You never know how much you use it until you can’t.
