Whiskey/whisky and beer are about equal in my book. Love ‘em both. One of the reasons I don’t mind spending extra on whisky is that a good bottle of it will last me the better part of a month. A drop here, a drab there. I truly savor it the good stuff.

A good bottle of beer will last me an hour. Tops. Even a 24-oz bottle of Utopias probably would not last very long. Not with my friends around, at least.

I was lucky enough to try it last year at a beer festival. I was there with some brewers and beer reps so the folks from Sam Adams broke open a bottle just for us to try. It’s an incredible liquid.

Still, if I had $100 burning a whole in my wallet and I had my choice of buying a bottle of Utopias or a bottle of Glenmorangie Nectar D’Or (@ $70) or even some great tequila like Jose Cuervo Reserva De La Familia (@ $100)…the Utopias is gonna lose every time.

Never really go into the WhiskEy thing, I think cost very much has something to do with it!

For the most part I think the market will determine beer price,not everyone will pay $20+ even for a killer brew. To many people, its still ‘beer’. Maybe they should call it something else. LaBeer?

Also, I think if golden flakes were floating around in beer it would improve its perception as the common-man’s drink.

This comment will be 2 strips of bacon please.
